Small enough to care

Because we are a small business we like to take care of all the little things, as well as the big ones! These details may not be taken quite so seriously by a larger company. For example we periodically check the stability and security of the boat whilst in transit, and always stay with the boat overnight – in the lorry bunk.

On the day

You are more than welcome to be there on the day but it is not a necessity. We will ensure that your boat is signed for on our delivery note and any spare keys are collected and again signed for at the destination. We also check over the boat to ensure that it is safe to travel and that the battery and gas have been turned off and all fenders and warps are secured inside.

Payment

For UK boat moves we require payment as soon as the boat is loaded on our trailer. For foreign transits we require a deposit when you book and then cleared funds of the balance once we have loaded the boat onto the trailer.

Payments should be made by same day Bank Transfer or a debit/credit card.

"Fed up with our dodgy summers"

"…. I eventually decided on road delivery, a new area for me.I got quotes, via the internet, from 6 companies and decided to follow up on the company which seemed to offer the best compromise. It (Boat Transport Ltd) was based in Hythe, offered a fixed price and 4 days delivery to Sant Carles Marina, Spain. Both the transport and insurance were cheaper than by ship. The driver called me to advise safe delivery and the whole operation went like clockwork. I can now look forward to some warm cruising!
